The Beauty of Math!
Take a look at the mountains
Stretching a mile high
Take a look at the ocean
Far as your eye can see
And think of Me
Take a look at the desert
Do you feel like a grain of sand?
I am with you wherever
Where you go is where I am
And I'm always thinking of you
Take a look around you
I'm spelling it out one by one
(Chorus)
I love you more than the sun
And the stars that I taught how to shine
You are mine, and you shine for me too
I love you yesterday and today
And tomorrow, I'll say it again and again
I love you more
Just a face in the city
Just a tear on a crowded street
But you are one in a million
And you belong to Me
And I want you to know
That I'm not letting go
Even when you come undone
(Chorus)
I love you more than the sun
And the stars that I taught how to shine
You are mine, and you shine for me too
I love you yesterday and today
And tomorrow, I'll say it again and again
I love you more
I love you more
Shine for Me
Shine for Me
Shine on, shine on
Shine for Me
(Chorus)
I love you more than the sun
And the stars that I taught how to shine
You are mine, and you shine for me too
I love you yesterday and today
And tomorrow, I'll say it again and again
I love you more
(Chorus)
Than the sun
and the stars that I taught how to shine
You are mine, and you shine for me too
I love you, yesterday and today
Through the joy and the pain
I'll say it again and again
I love you more
I love you more
And I see you
And I made you
And I love you more than you can imagine
More than you can fathom
I love you more than the sun
And you shine for me
This is my "Thank God!" list...
Everyday, there are plenty of things to thank God for. I might not be able to list all of them, but I'd still like to visibly see how much God has blessed me with. One of the things I learned in my course, Child Development and Education, is that children learn faster when they can visibly "sense" the lesson.
1. I thank God that He woke me up today. Many people take waking up for granted. But really, if you ever stop to think about it.... Actually, I think it is so unimaginable for a person to imagine not waking up. Sometimes, the time between the moment you sleep and the moment you wake up feels only a second that it seems like that time didn't matter. What really matters, what people spend time thinking about is the time they spend awake. When they are sure they are awake, that's when they live. Imagine being stuck in your sleep, in a dream... there's no life. :Egad!:
2. I thank God for the Champorado I ate today. I've been eating Champorado for breakfast for the last three days because our helper seems to think that when the weather is cold, we should all eat Champorado. But, alas, I'm sick of it. I still thank God for it, though. I thank God that I can eat something good today, unlike many people who have no food.
3. I thank God for the electricity. I'm serious. Last year, when Millenyo came, we had no power for four days.
4. I thank God for the rain/storm. I thank God for it not because there were no classes for three days because of it, but because I saw how dry the land was in our Three's garden a few weeks back. I remember wishing there was rain so that they would grow. So there, I'm happy for the rain. I just hope our plants don't drown because of it. :D
5. I thank God because my family is complete. Although we have been an international family for a few years now, I can't help but thank God for always bonding our family in a way many people can't imagine. Last year, too, when Millenyo came, we were complete. It's times like these that I even envy my own family for being so closely knit even when we are far away from each other. I hope when I have my own family, my children will feel the same family bond. Oh yeah, as to why my family is complete... well, my brother had another surprise visit. :D
There's so many things to thank God for. I'll continue to add to this as the days/months/seasons go by... :D
Don't love me for my make-up
Love me for my unplucked eyebrows
And the green snot on my nose.
Don't love me for my smile,
Love me for my uncolored cheeks
And the green leaf in between my teeth.
Don't love me for my smart ass answers,
Love me for the stupid questions I ask
And the pathetic jokes that I tell.
Don't love me for my gorgeous dress,
Love me for the white spots on my skin
And the freckles you see on my back.
Don't love me for my perfume,
Love me for my salty sweat
And the silently strong air from my ass.
Don't love me for my high heeled boots,
Love me when I reach for you in tiptoe
While you bend when we meet in a kiss.
Don't love me for who you think I am,
Love me for being who I am
And love me because you do.

Today, he tried out the calamansi juice experiment. At first, it was VERY sour. Of course, it was without the sugar.
Then we poured a half-cup of sugar on the pitcher. Olie tried drinking the juice again. See what his reaction is!
Hahaha!
Olie said it was sweet, but by the way his face turned from French to Chinese in seconds, I say that he still found it very sour.
I love you, Olie!
Dun...dun...dun!!!
It's...
(click play!) Hahahaha!
Honestly, were you surprised?
I love it!
I love her. She has a very loud voice. I mean it. And she's our Silence Keeper; it's her job to remind her friends to keep quiet. She covers her mouth every time when she's shouting at her friends to keep quiet. Hehehe... that just means she remembers her job.
She's also very girly and has plenty of stories to tell.... Mostly, it's about her mom, sisters, and her going to "Asia Mall" to buy "Dora gifts." Hahaha...
This was taken on August 7, 2007, just before Story Time. She sat on the teacher's chair and started story telling in front of her classmates. :D
Have fun watching!
I CARRY YOUR HEART
EE CUMMINGS
I carry your heart with me(I carry it in
my heart)I am never without it(anywhere
I go you go,my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing,my darling)
I fear
no fate(for you are my fate,my sweet)I want
no world(for beautiful you are my world,my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you
Here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows
higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart
I carry your heart(I carry it in my heart)

ONE ART
ELIZABETH BISHOP
The art of losing isn't hard to master;
so many things seem filled with the intent
to be lost that their loss is no disaster.
Lose something every day. Accept the fluster
of lost door keys, the hour badly spent.
The art of losing isn't hard to master.
Then practice losing farther, losing faster:
places, and names, and where it was you meant
to travel. None of these will bring disaster.
I lost my mother's watch. And look! my last, or
next-to-last, of three loved houses went.
The art of losing isn't hard to master.
I lost two cities, lovely ones. And, faster,
some realms I owned, two rivers, a continent.
I miss them, but it wasn't a disaster.
---Even losing you (the joking voice, a gesture
I love) I shan't have lied. It's evident
the art of losing's not too hard to master
though it may look like (Write it!) like disaster.

There's so many things one can learn in a movie. Some are good, some are bad.
This is definitely good. Imagine, two tear-jerker poems in one chick flick.
Aren't you impressed?
I just wish I didn't have to watch it to analyze Cameron Diaz's learning disability,
her dyslexia. Hahaha...
Book Title: Little Blue and Little Yellow
Author: Leo Leoni
Summary: Little Blue and Little Yellow are great friends who have many adventures together. They hug until they become green. But where did Little Blue and Little Yellow go? Are they lost? *gasp!*
Rating: ***** (5/5 stars!!!)
Comment: I love this book! It was one of the stories that Ms. Corrine read us. We played with play dough and made our own Little Blues and Little Yellows. We made "Wanted" and "Missing!" posters. And then, we even recreated their adventures together by playing with big, wooden blocks. It was so much fun! I want to have this book!
